No good

Had kind of a rough night seeing as how i dropped my phone in a kitchen sink and now it doesn't work. Now i am trying to make some head way on this argument paper which could be going better than it is. Just not such a fun day. I hope its not a huge problem that my sources are going to be all internet because there's not really anything that i can get my hands on about swimming and suits that's not off the internet.

Arguement paper

Since i can't really argue anything relevant about my coach, which is what my other two papers are about, i've decided to talk about the expensive technical suits that have so far changed swimming today. The Speedo LZR Racer and Blueseventy Nero Comp suits are the new suits recently introduced to the sport and there is a big controversy about them. Since nothing was done initially its becoming increasingly harder to ban the suits since a lot of US, NCAA, and world records have already been broken by people wearing these suits. Still there is talk of whether or not anything will happen. A problem with this as an arugement is there arent really any sources other than internet sources seeing as how newspapers dont publish much on swimming as they do other sports but even most of the internet sources are forums or blogs which isn't legit at all.

Research Paper :-/

I'm not really feeling this research paper. My paper is on my old swim coach which i thought wouldn't be a problem and it hasn't been to much of an inconvenience but i have had trouble getting length out of it. I feel like i've talked about just about all there is in his life back in the day as well as today. Hopefully it will be fine though. I think what i have is decent.

MAC champs is over... back to school

Well we had MAC championships the week before our winter break or whatever that was. Eastern came away with the win of coarse. :) Championship #28 in mens swimming. There were a lot of great parties the week of the break since season is over but now its back to work. I come back and have all this work piled up at my door that i have to make up. At least its not in our english class... I did however get the bomb dropped on me that we are having a research paper to do in the next week or so as well as another writing center workshop. It's terrible! haha

Preparing for conference

Kinda forgot about this blog assignment for a bit... We leave for our conference championship for swimming on Monday so I am having to do a lot of work early since I will be gone all week for it. At least i get two weeks out of classes! It can be a pain getting everything set up for something like that but my professors were pretty understanding and willing to work with me. What sucks is that i will have to do our Wikipedia assignment way early with no peer editing. Oh well...

At the library

I am required for swimming to be at the library's study tables monday and wednesday 7:30-9:00. I was just thinking how bored i was with nothing to do when i remembered i have a blog that i'm supposed to write in. Anyway, i think Prof. Peltier was very generous in giving us a break from the homework. I think its cool that he recognizes we have a lot of other stuff to do and a break from time to time does help. As for the Wikipedia assignment, i think it will be pretty cool even though im not the english/writer type of person at all. Back home my friends and I were looking at the late great Coach Blair's Wikipedia page that his daughters had created and wanted to know more about our current coach, John Hargis but we were disappointed to see that there was no entry. Coach Hargis is a pretty simple guy but he has done some pretty cool things and i feel like there will be someone that wants to know about these accomplishments. Thats why I think it will be cool to give him his own Wikipedia entry. Well thats it for today..

Day 1

This is the first day i am posting on the blog for our english class. I found that blogger is pretty easy to use. It only took me like 5 minutes to get everything set up. I've never done any blogging before and for this reason i have no idea what to write about. :)
